Turns out, you can go from salad bowls to runway shows. Well, sort of. Here’s how we went from tossing greens to turning heads (literally)—and swapped a fashion show for a family-style feast.

1. From Aprons to Art 🎨
We were cleaning out some old stock at the shop and realised we had a pile of unused aprons, t-shirts, and tote bags. Instead of tossing them, we thought: can we turn these into something cool? Turns out, yes.

2. Meet Beg
Beg—our wonderful blue-haired team member who greets you at the shop daily—also happens to be a designer and costume maker. She designed an incredible collection from these garments.

3. The “Wait, Should We Go to Fashion Week?” Moment
Once we saw the finished pieces, it clicked. Our team actually wanted to wear them. Uniforms had never looked so good. So we asked ourselves: what if we actually… showed them? At London Fashion Week?

5. Dream Team, Activated:
We invited some of our favourite food content creators—the people whose creativity has inspired PPS since day one. They said yes! We cried a bit.

6. Enter: The Short Film:
To bring the concept full-circle, we made a short film (because, of course we did). Directed by our brand manager Asya. These short sequences around salad (duh) features our foodie creators, our salads, and the true PPS energy. Watch Part 1 Watch Part 2

7. Showtime:
Lights, cameras, lettuce. On the LFW show day, we had full-on backstage vibes. Models prepped, salads plated, guests seated. The banquet table was a vision: think deconstructed salad bowls meets edible still life.

8. And Then We Ate:
Our guests joined us at the table. The creators took a quick stroll (by that we mean proper runway strut) and sat down to eat. It was intimate, beautiful, and tasted like heaven (as you can imagine 😉).

9. The Grand Finale:
We screened the short film, shared laughs, and celebrated the moment. It was everything we dreamed of, and more.

10. What’s Next?
Our PPS crew will soon be rocking the collection at our Whitecross shop, and we’re working to make pieces available to the community. Stay tuned.
Thank you to everyone who supported us and made this happen. We are extremely grateful to share this journey with you.
With love,
PPS
